We’re proud to share that 1st Mile has been selected by the Danish Energy Agency as one of the few consultancies qualified to screen and validate applications for the EU Innovation Fund.

This is a highly competitive framework agreement, where all applicants were evaluated on two equally weighted criteria:

• Capacity and competencies of the team
• Form and content of the validation process

What this means for companies considering Innovation Fund applications

The EU Innovation Fund is one of the world’s largest funding programs for climate innovation. The process is complex, and applicants benefit enormously from structured feedback before committing to a full proposal.

Through this framework, 1st Mile will:

• Provide structured screening and evaluation of project ideas.
• Guide applicants on how to strengthen their concepts before full submission.
• Ensure alignment with the criteria of the Innovation Fund.

Projects that pass our screening are eligible for a DKK 500,000 grant from the Danish Energy Agency for writing the application.
